Nevada's mobile crisis programs are encouraged to respond to a national survey by February 28, 2026.
The 2026 National Survey of Mobile Crisis Programs is underway. This is an exciting opportunity to build the evidence base for mobile crisis programs across the country, including behavioral health provider mobile crisis programs, mobile response and stabilization services (MRSS), law enforcement-based co-responder programs, and alternative or community responder programs.
More than 520 programs across the country have participated so far, but only 4 are from Nevada (1 behavioral health provider mobile crisis program and 3 co-responder programs). Ensuring Nevada is fully and accurately represented is important. Nevada mobile crisis programs are encouraged to complete the survey by February 28, 2026, via this link: National Survey of Mobile Crisis Programs
The survey is being fielded by a team of researchers at Columbia University (Dr. Leah Pope and Dr. Michael Compton) and Wayne State University (Dr. Amy Watson) in collaboration with consultants Dr. Matthew Goldman and Mr. Preston Looper. This effort is also supported by leading national organizations, including the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors, NRI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the National Association of County Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability Directors, the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, CIT International, the International Crisis Response Association, the International Co-Responder Alliance, and the Law Enforcement Action Partnership. The report from the previous survey is available here:
